THINGS TO DO
Every year at the air show, we do our best to give you things to do while your at the show. We want you to up and close to the planes so you can see how they work and enjoy the uniqueness of all the different designs. We also want to make sure that we promote different vendors. Below are some of the activities that we will have for you to do and look at at the Madison Air Show!
- See Planes up close and personal with our Static Aircraft Displays!
- Watch Aerobatic Performances!
- Information on Flight Instruction. You can even take a Discovery Flight...that means you get to fly!
- Fly-In or drive-in for good food and fun
- You never know what might show up!

Flying berlin airlift museum
We are proud to once again welcome the C-54 "Spirit of Freedom" back to the Madison Air Show after 21 years!
Ground Tours
The Berlin Airlift History Museum presents a Mission of History, Education, and Remembrance with their Douglass C-54 "Spirit of Freedom".
The "Spirit of Freedom" is a living, breathing, flying exhibit commemorating the great Berlin Airlift of 1948-49. A genuine USAF Veteran of the Airlift (61st TCS Rhein Main), 317th TCS (Celle), (513th TCS Rhein Main), (313th TCS Fassberg) the "Spirit" itself is an important artifact from the airlift. Filled with Artifacts, photographs, and other Airlift related items, the "Spirit's" role is to travel the world educating people on this subject.
Get a chance to see this flying museum in a self-guided tour to learn about the Berlin Airlift and the role the C-54 played during the mission!

- Ground Tours will resume once the aircraft has been placed back on the ramp

This aircraft is not handicap accessible. Ground Tour participants must be able to climb stairs to get into the aircraft to view the museum.

Ladies for libertyReturning for the 2022 Airshow, the Ladies for Liberty will have multiple performances throughout the day during this years air show ending with the singing our National Anthem!
The Ladies for Liberty have been known for their renditions of 1940s, WWII, 1950s Korean War Era, and 1960s Vietnam War Era music. We are still presenting this program of the Andrew Sisters style of music through their own rendition of vocals, costumes, hairstyles and the spirit of patriotism reminiscent of the 1940s and 1950s. family activities area (new for 2022)Need something to pass the time or get the little ones energy out? Well, have no fear, we have just the cure! For the first time at the air show we will have a family activities area. With outdoor games, face painting, and a couple of bounce houses we hope to keep the little ones entertained when they need something new!
