1944 Consolidated Pby-5a Catalina 

Splash rides

​​PROVIDED BY HIstoric Air tours

We are pleased to welcome a PBY Catalina at the 2022 Madison Municipal Airshow! Take a ride on a fully restored Consolidated PBY Catalina Flying Yacht! This historic flying boat type was credited with some of the most critical actions of World War II that changed history including finding the Bismarck, sinking U-Boats, discovering the Japanese attacking fleet approaching Midway, and saving countless lives of downed airmen and adrift seamen. In it’s civilian life it has been fully restored to its original glory and fitted with a luxurious interior to turn it into the most capable and comfortable global exploration vessel. Flown by some of the most highly qualified pilots, you will feel right at home as they guide you aloft on one of the greatest adventures of your life.
$350 Splash Ride (These are our Premium Rides for the 2022 Air Show)

Rides will be approximately 20-25 minutes long and include a splash touch down in the Ohio River!



RIDE TIMES
NO MORE FLIGHTS

Walk-Ups will be welcome during the show and Friday Night on a first come, first serve basis. Book a flight in advance to secure your spot. A minimum of 6 riders must be booked in order for the flight to depart. If a flight does not have the minimum number of passengers, passengers will be pushed to the next time slot.

Helicopter Rides


​Provided By Higher Ground Helicopters 

​Take a ride in a Robinson R-44 Helicopter. Up to 3 passengers at a time!

$45 if paying with CASH*

Rides are approximately 5-7 minutes long and will take you out over the Ohio River for a breathtaking view!

PROVIDED BY COLUMBUS INDIANA HUEY

Take a ride in a UH-1 Huey. The workhorse of the Vietnam Conflict, the Huey can take up to 8 Passengers at a time. With open doors you'll get the perfect views of beautiful Madison, Indiana from the friendly skies! Don't forget to bring your camera along!

$100 Per Person

WWII and KOREAN Veterans fly for FREE!

Rides are approximately 15-20 minutes long.

Flight training

​Provided by Kentucky Flight Training Center

​Ever wanted to learn to fly? Madison Municipal Airport now has a Flight School! Talk with a flight instructor about making that dream come true! Kentucky Flight Training Center will  answer questions or give you your first taste of flight training with a discovery flight! You will actually get to fly the plane! Up to 2 Passengers will be allowed during the Discovery Flights!

Airplane Rides

Ride in a historic aircraft from the World War II era.

All riders need to arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled flight to fill out paperwork.

​You sit in the front seat as you gear up and strap in to a one-of-a-kind experience you won't find anywhere else in the region! Relive the early days of the barnstormers with the wind in your hair in this beautifully restored 500 horsepower biplane. 
​Rides are 20 minutes long!
