Before Signing Up
Before submitting your information, please review the rules and policies for joining the hangar waiting list. Madison Municipal Airport prioritizes active aircraft owners while ensuring fairness and compliance with FAA regulations.
Categories and Rules
Flying Aircraft Owners
Flying aircraft have the highest priority on the waiting list. Individuals with operational, flying aircraft should provide details about their aircraft, including make/model, whether it is currently in annual.
Non-operational aircraft, such as those needing repair, may also join the list, but repair timelines must be disclosed, and long-term storage of non-flying aircraft could result in additional fees.
Project Aircraft Owners
Individuals building or restoring aircraft have moderate priority. Applicants must provide information about their project, including its current status, timeline, and anticipated completion date. Hangars must be primarily used for the project aircraft. Long-term storage without significant progress may result in reevaluation.
Individuals Wishing to Purchase an Aircraft
You may sign up for the waiting list if you are planning to purchase an aircraft. However, you cannot reserve a spot without proof of ownership. Your position on the list will remain inactive until you provide confirmation of your aircraft purchase.
Individuals in the Process of Purchasing an Aircraft
Those actively in the process of purchasing an aircraft have a higher priority than individuals wishing to purchase but lower than current aircraft owners. Applicants must provide documentation of an ongoing purchase, such as a purchase agreement or communication with the seller, and include details about the aircraft being acquired. Placement on the waiting list is temporary and subject to confirmation of aircraft acquisition.
Reminder:
“All applicants must agree to Madison Municipal Airport’s Rules & Regulations and FAA policies. Hangar space is in high demand, and compliance with these rules ensures fairness and efficient utilization of airport facilities.”
